C & C Pet Fund

For veterinary practices

When your client cannot afford the estimate

Up to $1,500, paid straight to your practice. You submit it, not the client.

Florida only

Both the client and the animal must be in Florida, and the funding is used at a Florida practice.

Good prognosis only

We fund treatment you expect to work. Your clinical judgement is the gate, and we do not second guess it.

Paid to the practice

Up to $1,500 per patient, one time, sent directly to you once the application is approved and treatment is scheduled.

What to tell your client

The whole thing fits in one sentence at the front desk

"There is a Florida fund that may be able to cover up to $1,500 of this, paid to us directly. We submit it, not you. Let me get you the details."

Then point them at the site. It tells them in a minute whether it is worth applying and exactly which two of the four criteria they need to prove, so what reaches your desk is already sorted.

Applications come from the practice, not the client. You send the clinical paperwork, the client gives you their proof of hardship, and it comes to us in one place.

What you send us:

  • Name, hospital name and medical licence number for the treating veterinarian
  • An estimate or invoice for the intended services
  • History or SOAP for the patient covering the current circumstance

And the client's proof of two of these four:

  • Low income household, under $60,000 a year
  • Declined for financial assistance by a lender
  • Confirmation that at least $200 is being paid by the owner
  • Proof of a current, extreme, unexpected hardship

Questions from practices

Once an application is approved and the treatment is scheduled, funding is sent to the practice. We never release money to an owner and we never reimburse a bill that has already been paid.

You do. We work directly with veterinary hospitals, so the practice sends us the clinical paperwork and the client's proof of hardship together. It keeps cases complete, which is the single biggest cause of delay when an owner submits piecemeal.

We fund treatment and care for homeless animals as Good Samaritan cases. If somebody has brought in an animal that is not theirs, tell us.

$1,500 is our ceiling for one patient. Families often cover the remainder with a payment plan from the practice once part of the bill is handled, and every applicant is expected to put at least $200 toward the cost themselves.

We are a small fund and every application is read by a person. The fastest applications are the complete ones, which is why the site walks the client through exactly what to bring you.

Practices are how most families find us
